General statement
Eleven Books & Books is a bookstore specialized in used and new books in English language and other related products. It is registered under the business name eleven books, s.r.o. (IČO: 46186662). The books and other products are offered through the online store www.elevenbooks.sk. All the displayed books are in our stock.

Prices
All the prices of the books on offer are final, as we are not VAT payers. The price of the book listed in the order form is binding and cannot be altered by the bookstore between the sending of the order and its processing. A flat 3% discount off of the price of the book(s) is automatically applied for all registered users. The discount is subtracted from the price of the book(s) before the final confirmation of the order in Checkout. Special discounts based on mutual agreement or a discount coupon cannot be combined with any other form of discount.

Orders
After being sent, the orders are binding for both parties (Eleven Books & Books as the “Seller” and the customer who placed the order as the “Buyer”) and their modification or cancellation is only possible with consent from both parties. The order takes the form of a binding contract between the Buyer and Seller once the customer finalizes the ordering process and confirms it. The placement of the order is subject to the full acceptance of the terms and conditions by the customer. The confirmation of the order is sent to the customer by return to the email address specified during registration or when filling the order form as an unregistered customer. The email also includes additional information about the selected method of payment and delivery. Registered users can access all their previous orders when logged in in the “My Account” section.

The bookstore may require an advance payment of up to 75% of the order’s value for bigger orders when the cash on delivery payment method is selected.

Delivery conditions
Personal pick up at our address Ožvoldíkova 4, 841 02 Bratislava is free of charge, the date and time need to be arranged. Occasionally, it is possible to agree on a different place for picking up the books.

Other orders are delivered by the Slovak Post or through Packeta (Zásielkovňa), the prices can be found in the section Shipping costs. The listed prices for shipping don’t apply to orders from abroad. If the listed delivery address for the order is not in the Slovak Republic, the shipping costs are set individually based on the current pricing of the postal services as well as on the agreement with the customer.

All the books displayed on the website are stored in our stock and we ship them within two workdays after receiving the order (cash on delivery payment method) or immediately after receiving the confirmation of an incoming payment (bank transfer, credit card payment and PayPal payment method). The customer is informed about the shipment of his order via email or a text message (if he fills in his/her phone number). If your package or a notification that it has been delivered to your local post office doesn’t arrive within 7 workdays after receiving the text message or email confirming that we shipped it, please contact your local post office and inform us as well.

The bookstore doesn’t take responsibility for a delayed delivery of the order caused by Slovak Post, or by an incomplete or incorrect address provided by the customer. The ordered books will be shipped in packages which should prevent any damage during the delivery process. The bookstore cannot take responsibility for possible damage of the package which occurs during the delivery by Slovak Post.

In case of any complications during the delivery process, even when these were not caused by the bookstore, we will do our best to actively participate in the effort to resolve them to customer’s satisfaction.

If the customer selects the cash on delivery payment method and then fails to pick up the delivery, the bookstore reserves the right to claim financial compensation for the shipping costs.

In accordance with the law 108/2000, it is possible to return a book which has been ordered and paid for within 7 workdays after acquiring it. The Buyer is obliged to present a copy of the invoice and send the book to our address. The returned book will not be accepted if it is sent using the cash on delivery method – the costs associated with the return shipping will be covered by the Buyer. The book can only be returned in the same condition as it was sold.

Payment
The following payment methods are available:
1. Payment in cash when picking the books up in person in our flat or somewhere else (upon agreement).
2. Payment via a bank transfer to our bank account (Please use the Order number specified in the confirmation email as the variable symbol).
3. Credit card payment via Stripe.
4. Payment via PayPal to our PayPal account.
5. Cash on delivery – payment takes place at the post office after you pick up the package with the ordered book(s). An additional fee of 2,00€ will be charged in addition to the shipping fee for this payment option.
