Two years and counting
Sometimes the unexpected happens and thus February 20, 2018, marks two years since we opened. It has been a great experience for us and we’re very glad and thankful that many of you became regulars and that we can consider you friends, not just customers.
In the past few months we’ve spent some time thinking about the future of Eleven Books & Coffee and we’ve considered several possible scenarios. However, the more we thought about it the more we realized what really matters to us and why we opened in the first place. And so we decided to keep things simple and focus on what we enjoy and what we find meaningful. Maybe this decreases our chances of survival but at least we get to do things our way and that’s a risk we’re willing to accept.
So what does this mean for Eleven? Most importantly, it will remain about books and coffee in the first place. This doesn’t mean that we’re not willing to try out anything new. On the contrary, we’ll be on the lookout for any meaningful additions, improvements, changes and new collaborations. If you have any ideas or suggestions we’re eager to hear them out. We’ve already had the opportunity to participate in several interesting projects and we perceive this as one of the biggest added values of Eleven.
This entire experience is a learning process for us but we plan to enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts. These first two years were often very hectic and not everything worked out the way we planned. But we’re grateful that we can continue doing what we enjoy and we’re curious and open to see what the future brings.
P.S.: You can take part in a giveaway currently running on Facebook (until Feb 24) and win one of four book packages.
Also, on February 20, there will be an 11% discount on all books.
